This t-shirt celebrates the Flying Tigers! The First American Volunteer Group (AVG), nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was formed to help oppose the Japanese invasion of China and operated in 1941–1942. It was composed of pilots from the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC), celebrated in particular on this shirt, as well as the Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), and was commanded by Claire Lee Chennault. They are known for flying the Curtiss P-40B Warhawk aircraft, which is shown flying through the clouds on the front of this shirt. The sleeve of the shirt features the Flying Tigers emblem, with the AFA logo on the other sleeve.
